SCS Refrigerated Services, LLC is a recognized leader in providing fully integrated cold storage, refrigerated warehouse space and distribution in the Puget Sound area.

Using the geographic advantage of the Puget Sound international and domestic transportation hub, and strategically located to include convenient services from both the Port of Seattle and the Port of Tacoma, SCS distribution services options are unlimited.

In 1969, SCS, named Seattle Cold Storage at that time, began as a single facility located on the banks of the Duwamish River in Seattle’s Georgetown neighborhood. It wasn’t long until the business grew to the point that another facility was needed. On a quest for land large enough to support expansion, the principals built a second facility in Algona in 1986. Once space to build was exhausted in Algona, the next expansion came though the acquisition of Mountain Cold Storage in Tacoma, in 1994.

It hasn’t stopped there. SCS is planning further expansion on the Port of Seattle and has room to expand at the Tacoma facility.
